Pitch latest at Rodney Parade
Staff at Rodney Parade have been hard at work throughout the day trying to ensure the pitch is playable for tomorrow's SkyBet League 2 fixture against Northampton Town.An air compressor has been used to open the earth below the surface to facilitate the drainage. The state of the art machine has been driven down from Cheshire and there are only three machines of this type in the UK.
An assessment will be made with the match referee on Saturday morning.
